For our first newsletter in 2021, we focus on those whom either we have spent a lot of time with or yearned to even have a single hug - family.
We show you how cool idea it is to read with family - the kids, spouses, grandparents - reading amazing stuff in their own domains, age groups and sharing a mutual love for curiosity and imagination.
So check out articles, podcasts and videos on the same, along with brilliant recommendations by the community across books and articles.
Oh, and we have extended deadline for our #readeroftheyear contest till 10th Jan on multiple requests! - more details here
BioScope Thursdays
Every Thursday, 9 PM, we will be screening some interesting short films/videos/talks, across the world, especially book adapted ones!
One can even join discussions on the same once the movie is done! Join us to have some fun night out along with intellectual talks with fellow readers 😉
We will be screening a TED Talk - Reimagining masculinity - my journey as a male sexual assault survivor by Landon Wilcock.
As a survivor of sexual assault, Landon came to view his life as one broken into many pieces. He offers a unique perspective on how we can move forward as a society in dealing with not just male survivors, but all victims of sexual assault.

Deep Basu writes an article on - "The greatest journeys are the ones that bring you home" - The Namesake
2020 has been the year of families coming together. People staying away started living with their families yet again. It reminded me of my favourite story about the Gangulys from The Namesake. It's really close to my heart and I resonate with it for so many reasons. I have tried to pen a few of those reasons why The Namesake is and probably will remain the most special story about a family for me. Hope you find some common threads too.
