‘Write an essay about your favourite animal’ could be homework you might have had written during your childhood. While cats and dogs ruled these pages of essays, there’s more to wildlife and this planet apart from them. Or maybe one can get magical like Patronus.
To those who haven’t watched/read Harry Potter - Patronus is ‘a kind of Anti-Dementor – a guardian which acts as a shield between you and the Dementor.’ It’s also ‘a kind of positive force, a projection of the very things that the Dementor feeds upon – hope, happiness, the desire to survive – but it cannot feel despair, as real humans can, so the Dementors can’t hurt it.’

BioScope Thursdays
We will be screening a TED Talk - The value of your humanity in an automated future by Kevin Roose.
Every Thursday at 9 PM, we will be screening some very interesting movies/short films/videos/talks, across the world, especially book adapted ones! This is followed by an intellectual discussion on 3 points from the video.
About the TED Talk:
To futureproof your job against robots and AI, you should learn how to code, brush up on your math skills and crack open an engineering textbook, right? Wrong. In this surprisingly comforting talk, tech journalist Kevin Roose makes the case that rather than trying to compete with the machines, we should instead focus on what makes us uniquely human.
About Speaker:
An award-winning technology columnist for the New York Times, Kevin Roose's column "The Shift" examines the intersection of tech, business and culture. He's a New York Times bestselling author of three books, Futureproof, Young Money and Unlikely Disciple; the host of Rabbit Hole, a New York Times podcast about internet culture; and a regular guest on The Daily podcast, along with other leading TV and radio shows.
