Books are pretty, and you can take your pretty social media game to next level with dark academia novels. Of course, they are more than that - but these are basically an aesthetic that is inspired by old and classic literature/philosophy mixed with themes of existentialism and death.
Urban Dictionary hilariously stereotypes it as vintage emo sorts - “This whole aesthetic is about looking like a wise-cracking, pretentious scholar, so you'd usually see one wearing plaid or suede dress pants, knitted turtlenecks, black belts, blazers, baggy overcoats, dress shoes/black heels, and pocket watches/gold vintage watches.”
We cover this interesting genre with books, movies, lectures, and podcasts around the same.

In this lecture, Professor Wrightson discusses witchcraft and magic. He begins with the context of magic beliefs in this period, introducing the 'cunning folk' who had reputations as healers and were often consulted. He then considers the specific problem of witchcraft, the use of magic to do harm, and considers a number of unresolved problems in the history of witchcraft in England.
