Partition was a tragedy. It shattered millions of hearts into bloodshed and bleating baits. “At the stroke of the midnight hour when the world sleeps India will awake to life and freedom”, this metaphor succumbed before the forces of communalism and hatred. However, like any unfortunate era, this one too has its remnants store in the memory of people, books, and archives.
